Guerlain Meteorites Powder for the Face

Sorry, the photos are fuzzy.

Above are images of Guerlain's Meteorites Powder. $53, Sephora. Inside a very pretty box are a (cheap) powder puff and six colors of powder pearls. Each one is designed to provide a different perfecting effect for your face. Also, it carries a light violet scent. Below are Guerlain's claims.

-RED: "Gives a healthy glow"
-GREEN (looks like blue): "Corrects redness"
-YELLOW: "Highlights and catches natural light"
-WHITE: "Illuminates"
-PURPLE: "Brightens (subdues yellow and artificial-light effects)
There are also a few shimmery ones mixed in.

This is a very unique powder for two reasons:
1) It is in the form of "pearls".
2) The pearls are crazy colors.

I think that, overall, it does not live up to the claims. HOWEVER, it is still an awesome product. While I didn't notice many perfecting effects (it reduced redness marginally), it did illuminate my face. It gives your face a delicate glow. My favorite way to use it is to dust it over my cheeks for a nice glowy effect.

Even with this glowyness, it does not absorb oil at all. If you have oily skin, you will still have to use another powder under the meteorites. Also, concealer or foundation is necessary to cover blemishes/flaws. Lastly, the powder puff is not usable; it does not do the pearls justice. Use a brush.

Oh, and I suppose I must address the price. Whether or not it is overpriced depends on your income and your needs for a powder. If you have normal or dry skin, it is probably a better value because you do not need shine control. For me, it is way overpriced. But it will last a long time because:
1) The pearls are round balls of pressed powder, essentially, so you get a lot of product.
2) I use it about 2x a week.

My rating (not based on price): 4 stars. If it had better coverage and oil control it would earn 5.

Thanks and come again!

Edit: Oops! I forgot to give you the dimensions which are as follows:
Height: 1.75 in
Top diameter: 2.5 in
Also, I should tell you that in the photos above not all of the pearls in the box are shown.
